|  | The trick used to work with colored blinds on a white wall to suggest a window that wasn‘t there. The downside was that you never had additional light. These electroluminescent shades beam light against the wall and create the perfect illusion.

As cool as it sounds, it is actually a real item. Not commercially available but that will not take long.
